Bite Drama
Sarah's bite drama has been going on since last Wednesday. Papa notice a small bite on her leg on Tuesday night and I forgot to look at it before she went to bed. She woke up in the morning with some redness and a small blister on Wednesday morning. After her nap on Wednesday, the redness and swelling was a lot worse so I called the doctor and brought her in. The doctor prescribed a topical antibiotic and an oral one as well. She took her first dose on Wednesday night and then another one on Thursday morning. Thursday afternoon came and the swelling and redness had gotten bigger (up to her knee, down to her ankle, and almost all the way around her calf). I brought her back to the doctor on Thursday night and they said that they thought it was a staph infection (she swabbed the blister and liquid to send to the lab). The doctor traced the redness, switched her to a different antibiotic, and told me that if it gets any bigger to bring her to the hospital for IV antibiotics. She took her first dose that night and by the morning the swelling had gone done and the rash hadn't gotten any bigger. I brought her back to the doctor on Friday morning so they could check the rash and swelling and he said that he wasn't worried, the rash was better, and that it was probably Staph because it was responding to the antibiotics. We got the results Saturday morning and IT WASN'T STAPH!!!!! We requested a Lyme test and are now waiting for the results. Sarah had her blood taken on Monday morning so we should have the results by Friday at the latest. If they come back negative, we will retest her in about 6 weeks to make sure that the results were accurate (it can take 4-6 weeks after a tick bite to produces the antibodies).

Blister

The red rash going around her leg.

She had a small dark circular rash around the blister and then a fainter red rash around her calf.

Harrison Kids
Benjamin just turned 5 months old on Monday! He is rolling over all the time now, loves playing with his toys, and always has a finger in his mouth (a tooth has to be coming soon).
Sarah is still Ben's number 1 fan!
Maddie and Sarah like to pull their toy bins and kitchen around the living room to make little "houses" and hiding areas.

Harrison Happenings
Sarah is starting indoor soccer tomorrow. Here is a pic of Sarah showing off her cute outfit (Garmi and Papa brought her to pick out her soccer socks, shin guards, shorts, and shirt).
Ben hanging in the exersaucer. We brought it up yesterday and it has quickly become a favorite for his sisters too!
Ben fell asleep in the stroller tonight after we got back home. He looked adorable cuddled up with his stuffed elephant.
