Snowman

Matt and Sarah are outside enjoying the snow and warmer weather as I do this post.

We were very lucky to wake up to no trees on our house Friday morning and no damage to our property....and we had electricity!!!! We woke up to another 4 inches of snow on Saturday morning and had flurries throughout the day. Today it is warmer and we even have periods of sunshine!!! Matt headed out with Sarah and made a few snowmen....more pics to come.

Tents and Bread

The Harrisons are ready for spring to be here! Mommy has been trying to keep things fun at home, but it is starting to get hard! Daddy brought home little soccer balls for the girls and they loved them. We have to take them away from Madeleine though because she tries to eat them.

Harrison Hut....

My friend posted an amazing wheat bread recipe on facebook the other day. Matt and I ate an entire loaf in 1 1/2 days....Sarah did have one or two slices too! =) I froze the other two loaves.

Diaper Rash

Madeleine has been having a battle with diaper rash. Ever since she was put on a steriod for her breathing (croupe) a few weeks ago, she has been having problems. Mommy has been doing a lot of baths to clean her off, blow drying her bum to get her nice and dry, and then letting her walk around naked from the waist down (she only peed on the floor twice...only played in it once!). I just started giving her 1/2 teaspoon of probiotic powder mixed into her yogurt on Friday and.....no more problems!!!! PROBIOTICS ARE MAGICAL!!!!

Latkes and Backpacks

I made Matt some potato apple latkes for breakfast this morning. The recipe came from a Cooking Light magazine and they were amazing!

This is how I prepared dinner tonight...Madeleine in tow! She is a tad clingy at the end of the day and would cry if I wasn't holding her. I guess it is a good was to get a workout while you cook!

OUTSIDE!!!!!

The Harrison ladies have had enough of the indoors lately! We headed outside (runny noses and all) on Friday to get some much needed fresh air. Madeleine wore Sarah's old puddle jumper boots. They were a tad big on her so she fell a few times....they were super cute on her though!

Madeleine still in her pjs!

Yup...we never put the sandbox away and it has survived well!

The free girls.....

Madeleine enjoys some time on the wet grass! You have no idea how much it killed me inside that she was sitting in the wet snow in her pjs. I am trying to learn that it is okay to let them get dirty....sometimes! =)

Hair

Madeleine's first pair of pig tails...notice the red nose from being sick. =(

Sarah's first braid. It was a miracle that she let me do it!

Butterfly Madeleine

Sarah and Madeleine made butterfly hats at Kayla's 3rd birthday party a few weeks ago. Madeleine loves putting different hats on: winter hats, Sarah's big sister hat, and the butterfly hat.

Indian Samosa Casserole

I tried making this Vegetarian Times recipe last night. It was really tasty but needed a touch more curry powder. Madeleine ate it right up too! Sarah...not so much.

Laundry Basket Fun

Sarah loves playing in the laundry baskets. She pretends that they are boats and uses spatulas as paddles. Maddie has started to follow her sister's example.
