Happy Thanksgiving!

Matt and I have a lot to be thankful for this Thanksgiving Day, especially the birth of our second daughter. Here are a few pictures of Maddie celebrating her first holiday!

Madeleine Arrives

Madeleine Therese Harrison arrived this morning around 7:50 (we'll let you know the exact time later) by c-section! She weighed in at 8 pounds 7 ounces and is 21 inches long. Maddie has a full head of dark brown hair, long fingers and toes, and is nursing like a pro! We'll post more pictures later!

Heading to the Hospital

We are heading to the hospital in a few minutes. Apparently Madeleine doesn't want to leave her safe home quite yet, but in a few hours she won't have a choice. =) We'll let you know how things go after the surgery. The surgery begins at 7:30 am so we should be out by 9 at the latest. Wish us luck!

Baby Update

I went in to the doctor's office today for another BPP (ultrasound), non-stress test, and doctors visit. The BPP and non-stress test results were great. Our doctor said the results couldn't have been better. Madeleine even stuck her tongue out a few times which was really cute! The bad news is that my cervix still isn't dilated so we have a c-section scheduled for Wednesday morning if she doesn't come by then. She will recheck my cervix on Wednesday morning before surgery and if it is dilated, we will be able to proceed with an induction using pitocin instead. My doctor is being really wonderful and even gave me two extra days (she wanted to do the surgery on Monday but gave me until Wednesday because the baby is doing so well). I have to go in for another non-stress test on Monday to make sure that she is still doing okay. We are still hopeful that I will go into labor naturally within the next four days....keep praying for us!

Yummy Oranges

Sarah had her first taste of orange (clementine) slices this morning and she loved them.






She also enjoyed putting the slices on her forehead. Silly girl!

Still No Baby!

Just wanted to let everyone know that Madeleine is still happy inside my womb.....suctioned in like a little tree frog! We'll see if she ever arrives! Matt thinks it is today-we'll see if he is right!
